Lunches

Nutritious and Inclusive Dining at Tower College

At Tower College, we believe that lunchtime is an integral part of the school day, providing pupils with the nourishment and energy needed for effective learning and overall wellbeing. In partnership with Thomas Franks, our dedicated catering team, we offer freshly prepared, balanced meals that cater to a wide range of dietary needs and preferences.

Our Catering Partner: Thomas Franks

Thomas Franks is renowned for its commitment to quality and innovation in school catering. Their approach emphasises sourcing fresh, seasonal ingredients and cooking from scratch daily. By supporting local producers and suppliers, they ensure that our meals are not only delicious but also sustainable.

“Food is at the heart of what we do. We source with care and cook with passion, anticipating forthcoming culinary trends and supporting small and local producers and suppliers. We believe in an innovative and seasonal approach to food, using fresh ingredients and cooking from scratch for all of our clients every single day.” Thomas Franks

Catering to Diverse Dietary Needs

We are committed to accommodating the individual dietary requirements of our pupils. Whether due to health conditions, allergies, intolerances, religious practices, or personal choices such as vegetarianism, our catering team works diligently to provide suitable meal options. We collaborate closely with parents and guardians to ensure that each child’s dietary needs are met with care and attention.

Collaborative Menu Planning

To continually enhance our dining experience, we actively seek feedback from our school community. Regular questionnaires are distributed to pupils and parents, allowing us to gather suggestions and ideas for menu improvements. This collaborative approach ensures that our meals remain appealing and aligned with the preferences of our students.

School Lunch Policy

To maintain consistency and quality in our meal offerings, we have established the following policy:

  • School-Provided Meals: All pupils are expected to partake in the meals provided by the school.
  • Packed Lunches: Bringing packed lunches from home is not permitted, except under exceptional circumstances.
  • Permission for Exceptions: Any request for an exception must be submitted in writing and approved by the Principal.

This policy ensures that all students receive meals that meet our nutritional standards and supports our inclusive dining environment.
