School Life

A Balanced, Enriching Experience at Tower College

School life at Tower College is vibrant, purposeful, and designed to support pupils’ academic, personal, and social development at every stage. From Preschool through to Year 11, we are committed to nurturing well-rounded individuals in a caring, inclusive and values-led environment.

Our pupils benefit from a structured yet dynamic daily routine enriched by co-curricular opportunities, pastoral support, and a culture of respect and high standards. Below is an overview of what life at Tower College looks like beyond the classroom.

Uniform

Our smart, practical school uniform is a symbol of pride and unity. Uniform requirements vary by year group and include specific seasonal items and P.E. kits. All uniform must be worn correctly and consistently in line with our expectations.

Wraparound Care

We offer high-quality Wraparound Care for families who require childcare outside standard school hours. Our Breakfast Club opens from 7.30, and our After-School Club ‘Twilight’ runs until 18.00 in a safe and nurturing environment.

School Lunches

Our Lunches are freshly prepared by our professional catering partner, Thomas Franks. Meals are nutritious, varied, and cater to a range of dietary requirements. Tower College operates a no packed-lunch policy, and all pupils are expected to participate in school meals unless otherwise agreed.

After-School Activities

We offer a rich programme of After-School Activities each term, designed to encourage pupils to explore new interests, develop confidence and have fun. Clubs include sports, art, science, music, storytelling, and more – all led by staff or specialist coaches.

Enrichment

Our broader Enrichment programme includes everything from gardening and Kinball to Creative Writing and Model United Nations. Activities vary by age group, and there is a structured Enrichment Programme for pupils in Years 7 to 10.

Pastoral Care

We pride ourselves on outstanding Pastoral Care, which is embedded across all stages of school life. Each child is supported as an individual, with a strong focus on wellbeing, emotional development and inclusion. Form tutors, senior leaders and pastoral staff work together to ensure every pupil feels safe, respected and valued.

Music Tuition

Our Tower Music Centre offers pupils the chance to explore their musical talents through Music Tuition. Pupils can enrol in individual lessons for a variety of instruments, and we offer support and guidance for sourcing equipment.

Holiday Club

Our Holiday Club, delivered in partnership with Edstart Sports Coaching, runs during selected school holidays for pupils aged 4–12. With a wide range of sports and activities, it’s the perfect way to stay active, social and entertained during the break.

Duke of Edinburgh Award

For our older pupils, we offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award, a nationally recognised programme that promotes teamwork, resilience, independence and community service. Pupils work toward their Bronze Award through physical, volunteering and skills activities, culminating in a supervised expedition.
