Early Years Trips

Pre-School and Reception pupils take part in at least two major enrichment experiences each year – one in the Autumn Term and one in the Summer Term. These experiences are carefully chosen to complement classroom learning while offering pupils the chance to engage with new environments, stories and social settings.

We regularly bring exciting educational experiences into school, ensuring that even our youngest pupils benefit from cultural and imaginative enrichment in a safe and familiar setting. Past highlights include:

• Travelling Pantomime – A live theatrical performance brought directly to school, encouraging creativity, storytelling and audience interaction.
• ZooLab Animal Encounters – A hands-on introduction to fascinating animals, supporting science learning and sparking curiosity about the natural world.

These visits provide a memorable, multisensory learning opportunity while also celebrating the achievements of our youngest learners.

Off-site visits are carefully planned to provide children with immersive, enjoyable experiences that support both personal development and curriculum goals. Some of our most popular Early Years trips include:

• Farmer Ted’s – A farm park experience that introduces children to animal care, nature, and the farming environment
• The Ice Cream Farm – A joyful sensory adventure combining outdoor play and food discovery
• Croxteth Park Farm – A guided exploration of animals, woodland, and history in a structured learning environment
• Imagine That! – A hands-on science and creativity centre where children can play, build and experiment freely

These trips are designed to support children’s social, emotional and cognitive growth. They reinforce what has been learned in class and allow pupils to explore their interests in real-world contexts.
