Middle & Upper School Enrichment

Preparing Pupils for Life Beyond the Classroom

At Tower College, we recognise that academic success is just one part of a well-rounded education. In our Middle and Upper School (Years 7–11), enrichment plays a central role in helping pupils grow as confident, capable and self-aware young adults.

Our enrichment programme offers a wide variety of experiences to stretch pupils beyond the curriculum. Whether developing leadership skills, discovering a creative talent, or exploring new areas of interest, pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves and follow their passions.

Diverse and Aspirational Activities

Our enrichment opportunities are built around the skills that matter most in modern life: resilience, independence, collaboration and creative thinking.

Enrichment options for Middle and Upper School pupils include:

  • Model United Nations (MUN) – Debate and diplomacy for globally minded students
  • STEM Club – Hands-on science, technology and engineering projects
  • Brass Ensemble and Ukulele Club – Music tuition and group performance
  • Creative Writing – Crafting short stories, poetry and original fiction
  • Spray Art and Mural Projects – Modern art techniques and collaborative design
  • Girls and Boys Football and Competitive Sports – Developing athletic skills, fitness and sportsmanship
  • Enterprise and Leadership – Real-world projects that promote initiative and teamwork
  • Mentorship Roles – Older pupils supporting younger students as peer mentors and prefects

Summer Term Enrichment Programme

For pupils in Years 7 to 10, we offer a dedicated Summer Term Enrichment Programme. Pupils select from a tailored list of experiences, including outdoor pursuits, creative workshops and academic challenges. Activities are chosen via a booking form, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. This structure allows for personal choice while ensuring full participation.

Building Skills for the Future

Our enrichment programme is designed to complement academic achievement with personal development. Pupils leave Tower College with a strong sense of identity, increased self-belief and the skills to succeed in further education, the workplace and beyond.
