Admissions

A Warm Welcome Awaits

Thank you for considering Tower College for your child’s education. We understand that choosing the right school is a significant decision for any family, and our admissions process is designed to be clear, informative and supportive from the moment you make your first enquiry.

Tower College accepts applications for children aged 3 to 16 across all key stages, from Early Years through to GCSE. Our dedicated team is here to guide you through every step of the process.

Start Your Journey

We believe that the best way to understand what Tower College offers is to see it in person. We welcome prospective families for visits throughout the academic year.

You can choose between:

  • Open Evenings – We host two open evenings per year. One in the autumn term and another in the summer term. These events provide an excellent opportunity to tour the school, led by our pupils. Meet staff and experience our ethos and environment. See our facilities, and have time to ask questions about curriculum, pastoral care and enrichment opportunities.
  • Private Tours – If you prefer a more personal approach, we offer individual tours during the school day. These include a pupil-led walk around the school, a meeting with a member of the Senior Management Team, and tailored advice based on your child’s stage and interests.

To arrange a visit or register interest in an upcoming Open Evening, please contact our Admissions Team at admissions@towercollege.com or call 0151 426 4333.

The Admissions Process

1. Initial Enquiry

We encourage all families to contact Ms McNamara to discuss availability, entry points and any initial questions. msmcnamara@towercollege.com

2. School Visit

Families are invited to attend an Open Evening or book a private tour. This is your opportunity to see the school in action, meet key staff and explore whether Tower College is the right fit for your child.

3. Register Your Child

Once you decide to proceed, please complete our online registration form. Our Admissions team will then be in touch with further details about next steps.

4. Taster Days and Assessment

Prospective pupils are invited to attend two taster days, where they experience a typical school day and meet their potential peers. For pupils in Lower School, informal assessments are conducted during one of the taster days. For pupils in Middle and Upper school one of the taster days features an online assessment. The assessments are to ascertain the pupils ability to access the curriculum without any additional support. Additionally, behaviours are closely monitored throughout the duration of these days to gauge social interaction and adaptability.

5. Offer of a Place

Following the taster days and on receipt of your child’s latest school report, we will offer a place to successful applicants, subject to space availability and suitability.

6. Acceptance and Enrolment

Once an offer is accepted, a £500 deposit is required to secure your child’s place. This deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from the first term’s fees. A £100 registration fee will be applied to your first invoice.

We will guide you through the enrolment process and provide key dates, uniform information and transition details to help your child settle in.
