Pastoral Care

At Tower College we do not underestimate the importance of happiness.

Our small, family-feeling school is a community for children who aspire to be their very best selves. Our beautiful grounds in the leafy suburbs of Rainhill perpetuate an inclusive and joyous environment in which your child will feel safe and content.

We take a multi-faceted approach to encourage and support your child to rise to their own potential.

Each day your child will meet with their Form Tutor twice, and in the unlikely event that they are facing an issue this is their usual first port of call.

Our Behaviour Management Team works closely with form tutors and pupils to ensure that our high behavioural expectations are maintained. The Team is made up of male and female members of staff, and is broad and diverse to allow all pupils to feel comfortable coming forward when they are experiencing social difficulties. Our behaviour management policy is clear and consistently applied to all pupils, and encourages pupils to excel and over-achieve in all areas. When a pupil makes a poor choice regarding their behaviour, they are issued with a verbal warning before being issued with a detention for further infractions.

The Safeguarding Team are always available to act in the best interests of the children at Tower College. Mrs Wright is our Designated Safeguarding Lead, and Mr Southward and Ms Gregory are our Deputy Safeguarding Leads.

Ms Gregory works tirelessly to promote a mindful and positive mental attitude in our school community.
