Rotary Speaking 300118

On Tuesday 30th January, 3 of our Year 11 pupils took part in the first round of the annual Rotary Youth Speaks Competition, held at Hope Academy.

Our team was led by Eliza as the main speaker. She gave an outstanding performance, drawing many compliments from the Rotarians and other teachers. She spoke passionately about a topic that she is personally involved in; the Shakespeare North Playhouse locating to Prescot and the many exciting opportunities this will provide for the this region. Excellent support was provided for Eliza by Eila as Vote of Thanks and Pratuysh as Chair.

The team and the Rotarians from our kind sponsor, the Rotary Club of St Helens, were delighted when it was announced that they had won the competition and they now go through to the next round in early March.
