Sam and Sammy’s Amazing Adventure
Sam and Sammy were the intrepid main characters played by Lukas and Olivia in this year’s J4 Play. In a fantasy adventure they were transported to Garlandia to use their telepathic abilities, along with friend Milly, played by Abbie, to outwit the evil General Gok, played by Emily. They bravely help Lord Sipply, Tom, and his daughter Duchess Mindy, Caitlin to restore peace and harmony to the World of Garlandia.
What the children thought:
"I enjoyed playing Sam in the play. I was nervous about playing one of the lead roles but felt great and full of confidence after performing in front of the parents. The play is the best thing I have done in school.”
“I really enjoyed the rehearsals and playing a Shammy was great fun,” says Rebecca. “I tried hard with my character to act the role as well as I could.” “I will remember the play because it was full of fun and made everyone in J4 work together.”
“I loved being in the J4 play.” ‘The build up to the performances was buzzing with excitement,’ writes Emily, who played Gok. ‘The play was the most enjoyable and incredible thing I have done.’ “I would love to do it over and over again!”
Troy-Francis says that playing a Garlandian was great fun in the J4 play. I enjoyed making the scenery. “It was a fantastic play and I’ll never forget it!”
