On the 2nd of June 2010 at eight o’clock in the morning we set off on the seven hour trip to Cornwall. We had three service station stop-offs and on the last stop we went to a shopping village with little shops. One of the shops was candy village, so I bought some candyfloss for ninety nine pence; it tasted yummy. When we got back on the bus it was about one hour to get to the youth hostel called Castle Horneck.

When we arrived, we got a bed pack and we made our own beds which was quite fun. When we had made our beds we went down for tea. We had pizza and chips. After tea we went to the park and went on all the swings and roundabouts.  On our return we were allowed to go in the games room which we were told was the best one in Cornwall but it was not, however, we still enjoyed it. We were told to go to bed at ten thirty because we were getting up at seven thirty to go to the Eden Project after breakfast.

When we got to the Eden Project we were let loose to go and explore and do anything we wanted. I was in a group with Neve, Charlotte and Danni. The first thing we did was stick ourselves to a Velcro wall. After that we visited the biomes they were fun but very hot. That night we went to the Minack Theatre. While we were waiting for Jesus Christ Superstar to start, we saw a basking shark feeding. It was huge. After the play had finished everyone said they enjoyed it.  I really like the bit where they were squirting fake blood at Jesus.

The next day we went to the beach to do surfing.  When it was our time to surf we went to the shop and put the tight wet suits on and carried the boards down the beech and started surfing. I stood up and crashed into people but it was fun.

Saturday came too quickly. We got up at seven thirty and had breakfast and left on the ten and half hour trip home. On the way home some S2s and S3s drew on themselves and they went crazy which made everyone laugh so that made time fly on the journey home. We got home at eight thirty just in time for Britain’s got talent. I would definitely go again to Cornwall because it was really good fun and Miss Oxley was good at joining in.  She even paddled in the sea.
